The Varsity Club Business Group
The Varsity Club in Clearwater Florida last night launched a new and innovative business networking group designed to help people save money and grow their businesses at the same time.
The concept combines the power of traditional word-of-mouth marketing with the speed and efficiency of the Internet says founder and owner Dave Berlo. “What we are doing is no different than what we have always done” says Berlo, we provide a great place for people to come and socialize.
What they are doing differently is providing a unique and targeted atmosphere for local businesses to network, conduct business and advertise within the Varsity Club itself. By installing a state if the art “business center” and creating the Varsity Club Business Group within the Varsity Club itself they are generating more sales and helping patrons generate more business for themselves. Group membership is free and members have the ability to get online, print documents, send emails, get and give referrals and stay connected in privacy while they wait for their food. The center also encourages patrons to pick up business cards and to save money by doing business with people they know who are members of the group.
“We’re helping create the economy of the future” says Billy McNeil, an insurance agent with Marsh McLennan Agency LLC and founder of the Varsity Club Business Group. Meeting people in a business friendly and comfortable atmosphere creates a win win scenario for everyone. “I see people I know, they see me doing business with people they know and it becomes a meca for referrals” says McNeil. ‘I can advertise my business, conduct business and generate new business while I eat lunch and watch sports”. |
